#SnatchedFromHome by Graham Smith #BlogTour @RandomTTours @GrahamSmith1972

I am delighted to re-share my review for Snatched From Home (DI Harry Evans Book 1) by Graham Smith on Blog Tour today. Thank you to Anne Cater for inviting me to take part. This book is out now, which I highly recommend

Middle-class parents Victoria and Nicholas Foulkes are distraught when their children are kidnapped against Nicholas’ gambling debts. Penniless and desperate the couple turn to crime as a way to raise the ransom.

Hot on their heels is recently bereaved DI Harry Evans and his Major Crimes team. Evans is fighting against enforced retirement and his replacement – DI John Campbell – is foisted upon him along with other cases. If he must leave the police then he wants one last big case before he goes.

In a race against time Victoria and Nicholas must evade the police while continuing to add to the ransom fund. If they don’t pay up on time the kidnappers have threatened to amputate their children’s limbs with an oxy-acetylene torch.

Can they save their children before time runs out?

My Thoughts

Wowzer…….this book is that fantastic I don’t know where to start It literally blew me away! First of all I need to explain that I actually started this book, then sadly I didn’t finish it due to the fact that I had a time schedule for Matching the Evidence by the same author.

But Jesus this guy can write a good story, and like I have said before I have definitely found a new favourite author. So picking up where I left off. I devoured the rest of this book in a matter of hours. Talk about a page turner, Honestly this book has it all for me.

And you know how you can tell you’re going to like a book from the first few pages or chapter?! with this book I knew from the very first sentence. Which is a first for me. That sentence was like OMG what a way to start a story.

Parents Victoria and Nicholas Foulkes are distraught when their children are kidnapped against Nicholas s gambling debts. Penniless and desperate, the couple turn to crime as a way to raise the ransom. Being a parent myself words can not describe that this would be my worse nightmare and would do anything at all to get my children back.
We then follow DI Harry Evans and his Major Crimes team. Evans is fighting against enforced retirement, and his replacement, DI John Campbell, is foisted upon him along with other cases. If he must leave the police then he wants one last big case before he goes. While Evans is hot on the parents trail can they save there children in time?!

Did I mention the fact that this is a debut novel? I honestly cant believe it is. And I can see this being one hell of a series. I really liked Harry Evans who is an very day get it done type of person who you can relate to And having met author I could certainly see lots of his humour in there. I am looking forward to reading and getting to know him more in I know Your Secret.

If your looking for a fast paced, gritty read that will have you on tenor hooks I highly recommend this giving it 5 Fantastic stars
