I am delighted to share my review with you today for Deathly Affair by Leigh Russell which is out now
When a homeless man is found strangled to death, Detective Sergeant Geraldine Steel is caught off guard by the cold-blooded nature of the crime. A second murder suggests the existence of a killer whose motive is as elusive as he is dangerous.
In an investigation plagued by police scepticism, only Geraldine is relentless in her pursuit of the truth. As she is forced down unexpected avenues into the lives of three people caught in a toxic triangle of love and deceit, she discovers there is more to this case than any of them could have imagined.

I really do struggle with reviews for a series and feel like I repeat myself but I am happy to report that once again Leigh has smashed it and brings us another gripping page turner with the thirteen book in the series. And for me I think each one gets better and better.
This is a series that never gets old, and leigh always paints a picture making you feel like you are in the book.
The story starts off with a gripping opening, when a homeless is found dead. We are taken on a fast paced journey has we follow Geraldine and the team. and try and fit the pieces of the puzzle together and work out who the killer is.
Just when I thought I had it all worked out Leigh rows in a twist throwing the reader off track. This book is certainly full of twists and turns. I couldn’t put it down.
Not only that, but Geraldine has things going on in her personal life which are woven in throughout the story. Now I am left waiting for the next book!
I love this series if your looking for a fast paced easy read then this is the book for you…..or even the series. Which I highly recommend.
Thank you to Anne Cater for the blog tour invite and to No Exit Press for a copy of the book.
