#Audio #Review The Moor by LJ Ross @LJRoss_author

I am delighted t share my review you today for The Moor by LJ Ross

The circus is in town…

When a ten-year-old girl turns up on DCI Ryan’s doorstep to tell him she’s witnessed a murder, he has no idea he’s about to step into his most spellbinding case yet. The circus has rolled into Newcastle upon Tyne, bringing with it a troupe of daring acrobats, magicians, jugglers—and one of them is a killer.

Ryan and his team must break through their closed ranks to uncover a secret which has lain buried for eight years, before the killer strikes again – this time, to silence the only living witness…

Murder and mystery are peppered with romance and humour in this fast-paced crime whodunnit set amidst the spectacular Northumbrian landscape.

My Thoughts

The Moor is the twelfth book in the DCI Ryan Mysteries series. I still have two book books to catch up on, so I went for the audio version of this one. I honestly cannot keep up with the author. She can definitely write faster than I can read lol

I have no idea where Louise gets her ideas from but has always brings us another well written and gripping read. I really enjoyed this one due to the fact that is it set at the circus. Took me back to the days when my children where young and we used to go every year. it was always a great night out. But to think that there is a killer there like in this story it really unnerves me. Who would of thought about a killer being at the circus….LJ Ross that’s who!

What a twisted mind she has I loved it. This is a story full of twists and turns keeping you guessing until the end. Just when you think the mystery has been unravelled the author throws in another twist and now I have to move straight onto the next book.

Having read a few book from this series on audio I now feel like the narrator is actually Ryan. He does a brilliant job of bringing this story to life and making it feel so real. I am still waiting for this series to be made into a TV show. It has the perfect balance of mystery, humour and romance.

Perfect for fans old and new which I highly recommend.
