I am delighted to share my review with you today on Blog Tour for Come Back To Me by Heidi perks
A SHOCKING DISCOVERY.
A COMMUNITY WRAPPED IN SECRETS.
A tiny island community is stunned by the discovery of a long-buried body.
For Stella Harvey the news is doubly shocking. The body has been found in the garden of her childhood home – the home her family fled without explanation twenty-five years ago.
Now, questioning her past and desperate to unearth the truth, Stella returns to the isolated island. But she quickly finds that the community she left isn’t as welcoming as she remembers – and that people in it will go to any length to protect their secrets.
One thing rings true…
You can’t bury the truth forever.
This is the second book that I have read by Heidi in the last couple of weeks. Even though I haven’t posted my review for How You See Her yet. (keep your eye out for that)
Anyway the author brings us another spellbinding atmospheric story. When a body is found in the back garden of Stella Harvey’s childhood home. The story alternates between the past and the present weaving a story that will have you gripped from start to finish. When we follow Stella on a journey to find out the truth.
The setting for this story was perfect it actually reminded me of where I used to live with the whole tight knit community thing going on! So for me this is very realistic.
Come Back For me will keep you guessing until the end has we try to work out who did it, with a twists to threw the reader off the scent! I have to say this is a very clever and intriguing read, the more I read the more I wanted to know. I actually devoured it in a day, I simply couldn’t put it down
There are some emotional scenes when discovers are made and you cannot help but feel the emotion through the characters. This story is totally mesmerising. I cannot wait to read what Heidi comes up with next.
If you are looking for a top quality story that is full of mystery then this is the book for you.
Thank you to Rachel Kennedy for a copy and for the blog tour invite.
