I am delighted to share my review for An Unwanted Guest with you today on Blog Tour
We can’t choose the strangers we meet.
As the guests arrive at beautiful, remote Mitchell’s Inn, they’re all looking forward to a relaxing weekend deep in the forest, miles from anywhere. They watch their fellow guests with interest, from a polite distance.
Usually we can avoid the people who make us nervous, make us afraid.
With a violent storm raging, the group finds itself completely cut off from the outside world. Nobody can get in – or out. And then the first body is found . . . and the horrifying truth comes to light. There’s a killer among them – and nowhere to run.
Until we find ourselves in a situation we can’t escape. Trapped.
First of all I have to say that the cover and blurb sold it to me…Yes I actually read the blurb for a change. Now I am left thinking crikey why have I never read any books by this author before! I went into this book having no idea the author wrote The Couple Next Door which I have on my pile. I will soon be bumping that up my pile after reading An Unwanted Guest…Which I totally enjoyed.
Imagine going away for a relaxing weekend miles away from nowhere….sounds ideal to me. Until a body is found at the place you are staying. Knowing there is a killer and having no where to run. well this is what happens in the this story.
The story line is very Agatha Christie but with a group of strangers situated at the Mitchell Inn it reminded me of Big Brother which gives the story a modern day feel to it.
I devoured this one sitting where I found myself gripped from start to finish. I loved the author’s style of writing I found it an easy and fast paced read Not only is it full of mystery and suspense. It has plenty of twists and turns that will have you guessing until the very end.
An Unwanted guest is brilliantly written who dun it story that will have you hooked.
Thank you Anne Cater for inviting me to take part in this blog tour and to Transworld for the most amazing book post.
